Highway 20 is a state highway that runs between the coast at [wikipedia]Fort Bragg in Mendocino County and [wikipedia]Interstate 80 just north of [wikipedia]Emigrant Gap in Placer County. From west to east in the Yuba-Sutter area, it passes through Meridian, Sutter, Yuba City, Browns Valley, and Smartsville. It is also often used for traveling to [wikipedia]Clear Lake in Lake County and [wikipedia]Grass Valley in Nevada County.

In the Yuba-Sutter area, Highway 20 is also called "Colusa Highway" in Yuba City and "Browns Valley Road" in Browns Valley. In Marysville, it overlaps parts of 10th Street (including the 10th Street Bridge into Yuba City), E Street, 9th Street, B Street, 12th Street, East 12th Street, Levee Road, and Highway 70. On 9th Street and B Street in Marysville, it also overlaps with Highway 70.

From east to west in Yuba City, significant places on Highway 20 include the 10th Street Bridge, El Cantarito, Stromer Realty, Teriyaki House, King of India Food to Go, La Mexicana, Taquería Valle, and Las Palmas Fine Mexican Food.
