O'Connor Lakes is a group of seasonal lakes or
vernal pools that dry up every summer. They are located slightly east of Tudor, near the west bank of the Feather River (opposite Star Bend Park and Boat Ramp).
The area around O'Connor Lakes and between them and the Feather River comprises the O'Connor Lakes Unit of the Feather River State Wildlife Area. The O'Connor Lakes Unit is closed from March 1 through June 30 every year.
There is a combined
great egret and
great blue heron rookery near O'Connor Lakes.1
